Day in town.

Sorry in advance for lack of pictures, so I'll try to paint a word picture of our day and include some past pictures.

4:30 a.m. Under a dark sky full of bright stars we packed the Land Cruiser with ourselves, a large propane tank, 3 women and their stuff, and one baby.

5:00 and we started down the mountain from the Agape house. Shortly after a rabbit surprised us by crossing the road. We didn't know that there were rabbits in the area.

7:00 Down the mountain to Route National 1.

Dropped off the ladies.

9:15 Cory dropped Anna and I off at a big hardware store while he went to the bank.

Around 10:30 having taken notes on appliances, stains, hardware, tile, doors...basically everything in the store we might need for the house. Cory returned and after buying a bit of paint and PVC.

10:50 Propane tank filled.

11:04 Lunch. Fast food. Cory bought us pattés. Fried dough filled with eggs/ veggies.

11: 23 After a couple stops, and a nice man jumping in to direct us, [remember it has been 10 years since we did much around Port] we found the new location for our mail service. MFI.

11: 30 Spare tire prepare and purchase of gas.

12:30 After slowly driving though a lot of traffic we arrived at the glass store. One hour later we had the glass ordered for the new house. Due to each window opening being slightly different almost every piece will need to be custom cut.

1: 35 Second, much smaller hardware store. Looked and took notes, found better priced interior doors.

2: 42 At airport for some waiting. Took a while just to find a parking space as all spaces were full up with several cars/trucks waiting for a space.

3:30 Folks, Eli, luggage in hand we make our way back to the Land Cruiser.

Next stop a grocery store for food. We ate on the way there some tasty pizza pockets and cookies that Anna had prepared. And enjoyed some ice cream.

A few short stops to look for flour, a bathroom break/leg stretching at 6 before we headed up the mountain.

8:30 Very tired but MADE it!!!

Bed after putting away some of the groceries and having family devotions. So much to be thankful for.

This morning up a bit later than normal. Breakfast and then a tour of the house. Unpacking with Christmas music playing.

Will have Mom guest blog at some point but the recurring comment is "I didn't imagine it like this."
