Plastering, roof, windows.....VISITORS !

Dump truck with cement and lumber came up the mountain on Thursday morning.

We ordered treated wood for the windows but received regular so we treated it the same day.

On Friday we painted the window wood.

The mason crew finished the interior plastering of the walls this morning.

Squaring up the windows was also completed today.

They then started plastering the outside, eastern wall.

Saturday we remeasured four of the windows and think we have a workable plan for the window frames.

Today we remeasured the window openings that were just completed.

Working on the sizes for the glass today that we hope to order while in Port au Prince tomorrow.

The lats/perlings are all on the roof and the trimming done.

A windy start to the day threatened a delay to starting the tin.

But they still managed to complete almost 1/4 of the roof covered with tin before quiting time at 4 p.m.

Cleaning, cooking, list making, organization, and excitment in the air as we prepare for Eli and Kris' folks visit!

This morning about 10 a.m.

We plan to head down the mountain very early tomorrrow morning hoping to arrive as the hardware stores open.

In addition to hardware stores, the plan includes a grocery store and a tire repair visit before heading to the airport.

After the airport we hope for a quick timely non-delayed and uneventful trip back up the mountain.
Afternoon about 3:30 p.m.
