Pictures from Day 7. Pre-floor pour day!

New view, on short cut to house now that the
corn crop is done and a fence removed.
Forms up around the outer edge...a few holes to still put forms around in the morning during the pour.

A water crew carried 5-gallon buckets of water from a small, close-by low area that holds water for a few days after heavy rains.

If that water dries up they will have to walk further to a small pond that doesn't dry up.

Water collection.

Re-bar all wired together.

Q-deck screwed together.

Tomorrow they will place rocks strategically around to get the re-bar up off the q-deck.

Cory put some conduit, PVC pipe and PEX pipe where electrical, drains, and hot/cold water need to run through the floor.

Forms.
I picked up nails, screws, and wire pieces from the q-deck.

I also covered the ends of Cory's work to keep the cement out of them.

The gravel crew continued to dig out and add to the gravel pile.
Gravel crew.
Re-bar wired together.

Food purchased and a cook arranged to feed the workers tomorrow, for what should be a 10 hour work day if everying goes well.

Chicken, bread, rice and beans on the menu along with juice and an coffee for energy.

First time seeing the sunset from the new location.

LaGonave Island, our first home in Haiti is just over this mountain.

Praying for a great day.

Praying for safety.
For all the supplies to be there.
For all the equipment to hold together and work well.
For all the workers to have health, strength, wisdom and to be drawn closer to the Lord.

Mostly for the Lord to get all the glory and honor from the work.

For this house to be a blessing to many for the years to come.
