After an exciting weekend in Northern Wisconsin at The River's first mission conference we headed back to Michigan.
Our schedule generally does not allow us to participate in mission conferences so we enjoyed hearing about the Lord's work in Minong-Wiconsin, China and Nicaragua.
One can also learn new exciting ideas when you see and hear about how other's do things. At The River church one of the members of their missions committee is a young lady, interested in missions who represents the youth group. We think this idea should spread! [Does your church's mission committee contain a teenager representing the youth group?]
The youth served the food for a banquet on Saturday night and the mission's group will serve the youth at one of their events. We also enjoyed many interesting questions from the younger children when we shared on Sunday morning for children's church.
After 3.5 hours of driving we enjoyed supper with some special folks who attend the Hillsboro Wesleyan church who supported the banana project and let us share about Haiti.
We made it back to Allegan, Michigan at 2 a.m. Today's agenda includes bringing Eli to get his first level Michigan driver's license so he can start to drive us here and there to build up his hours toward level two.
Anna will be visiting her friendly oral surgeon this afternoon and will be loosing 2 baby teeth and 2 adult teeth. While not looking forward to it she plans to enjoy ice cream, popsicles and pudding for a time.
This weekend our children did not travel with us but spend some time with my brother Todd's family. Friday they tackled the big yard of leaves. Saturday they planned to honor Vietnam veterans at a banquet and Sunday enjoyed hearing Uncle Todd preach and then youth groups.

I like the idea of ensuring that all parts of the church learn about missions and projects that the church is supporting. Nice to see fall photos too :)
