Sprinting to the end...

Sprinting to the finish...under the 3 week mark.

Sunday we witnessed a beautiful sunrise on our way to visit the Warsaw, Indiana church. Because of their frequent teams both to LaGonave and then Fauche we enjoy reconnecting with team members and meeting their friends and families.

Both services shared a dual focus of honoring American veterans and missions.

Our 'big kids' drove over to visit us. Chris remains busy as a 3rd year medical student while Kathleen works at a chiropractor office while supporting Chris.

A tasty lunch while visiting with past Haiti team members as well as those considering going next year.

We then dropped in for a very short visit with a remarkable retired missionary, Aunt Gertrude. Her daily prayers and a special prayer of blessing before we left touched each of us.

In addition to 40 years of faithful missionary service in Haiti, Haiti continues to be impacted for the Lord because of Gertrude's daily faithful prayers for our Haitian brothers and sisters, the missionaries and the ministry that continues.

Normally in the USA we do not have trouble re-adjusting to being on time [which in our part of Michigan means being ten minutes early.]  Visiting with special friends caused us to cut our travel time too close to the next church.

Then a slow moving train stopped across the tracks!! Really. Stopped completely. We could only hope that Liberty Bible started service without us. They generously forgave us and the rest of the service proceeded in a timely fashion.

Eli logged some supervised night driving time on the way back to Allegan.

Today's big events included visiting with Tim who's now in charge of Global Partner's member care over lunch and then returning to decorate the folk's Christmas tree.

Yes we know that Christmas occurs after American Thanksgiving but with less than 3 weeks remaining in the USA and plans to celebrate with both of our families next weekend after Thanksgiving we decided to decorate now.

Tomorrow working on the to-do, shopping, packing list......
Wednesday we visit a school to share about Haiti.
Thursday-Eli, Anna, Grandpa, Uncle Todd and cousines will head out looking for big bucks on Michigan's opening day deer hunting season.
Friday Cory and I will accompany Eli to Calvin College's Engineering Day. Friday night will visit with Cory's sister's family where Eli and Anna spend the night with the cousins!!!
Saturday will spend more time with Cory's family before heading out to share with the Hickory Corner's youth group before returning on Sunday morning to the rest of the congergation.
