Now my whole goal and ministry really boils down to teaching in various forms:
- Home-schooling Eli and Anna
- Translating and composing medical/ agricultural books in Creole to teach others.
- Communicating with our support team to educate them on Haiti and the work.
- Teaching patients or hospital staff information that improve health.
- Helping visiting team members to learn about Haiti.
And most of the rest of the time I'm learning. Learning so that I can improve my teaching and myself. I actively study these days-the Bible, home-school topics, French/Creole, natural medicine, USA medicine as part of my continuing education requirements and more.
I'm thankful my wonderful Moms for teaching both me and Cory. Thank you. Wish we could drop in for a visit on Sunday but know we're thinking of you and thanking the Lord for you both.
I'm also thankful for the many wonderful teachers I've learned from during my life. I realize that one can learn from anyone: what to do or not to do; how to act or not to act.... But thankfully the Lord blessed me with some amazing people along my life's adventure as mentors and teachers. Many of my teachers came in the form of patients, missionaries, family members, friends and books. Thank you!
End of week update:
- Cory delivered some trees to a church we've never visited and visited a new beach. Because of the recent storms the beach contained a lot of debris.
- His men working on extending a drainage ditch on campus for the banana plants.
- School: Good week. Almost 6 full days completed. Unfortunately no French classes as our teacher was ill.
- Translation of Book 2: I made good progress with the help of the on-line translator and Cory's started on proofreading.
- Anna decided this morning as I tugged and pulled a comb through her hair that it was time to donate again. Not one to drag her feet-the hair cut occurred the very next school break.

She is a cutie. (short or long hair)
:-)
Happy Mother's Day!
Quick decision - but she looks good with short hair.
Glad you got 6 days done this week. We used to do extra each calendar week to finish earlier too :)
