15 January

While the last two nights hosted loud and house shaking thunderstorms this afternoon's drizzle marks the first rain during the day for our first week home.

Our first week of school finished very well. New interesting books, a new spelling program and restarting French filled our days. Chemistry will occupy Eli's science time along with geometry for math and drafting for art.

Yesterday morning, unexpectedly Cory found that sometime during the stormy night someone broke off the lock of our tool shed and helped themselves to 2 buckets of flour, our partially full small gas drum and a brand-new 12 volt tire pump. Our campus friends, an official who took the report and a couple groups of police stopped by during the day to voice their sympathy and give advice. A better lock and fixed up fence were in place by evening.

Whether or not a direct connection exists between the beginning of the health book distribution and this incident we know that as the Lord starts to impact people through the book more set-backs likely will come our way. Thank you for those partnering with us, protecting us in prayer. Please pray not only for the protection for the campus, truck, people and other supplies but that the folks responsible for the theft will turn to the Lord and change their lives.
