April 7 Pictures and Head covering

We had a good weekend. The big accomplishment on Saturday was getting a family picture taken that would work for a prayer card. While this may sound easy to you without children, it is not.

First get everyone clean, hair in place, then in position. This is after carefully scouting out a good background. Before this stage you also have to find someone willing to spend a couple hours taking pictures. Thank you Onyx.

Now you have to wait for the light to be just right. Now position everyone-some standing on small stools, others on the ground and Cory slightly bending at the knee. Every one SMILE, and keep your eyes open. OK-lets try again. Again. Again.. Thankfully extras on digital cameras can be deleted at no cost.

Sunday we stayed here on the compound for church. You may of noticed on the church photos and team photos that the ladies are wearing headscarves. As a visitor you need to stand up front and most of the ladies in the churches have hats or head covers. So out of respect I and team members do the same. I lent mom and team members headscarves if they didn't have a hat.

This Sunday the ladies group that had special music consisted of 9 ladies only one with a bit of lace on her head. Well there would of been two but on her way up front one of the ladies neatly plucked a head cover off a lady sitting near the center isle and placed it on her head. After the special music she replaced it on the way back to her seat.
