The reason we needed to buy material is that it is getting very difficult to get supplies into the country.
Today there is to be a strike in Cape, after one yesterday in Port. This completely shuts down the city with no transportation going in or out of town.
We are still waiting to see if we can buy the roofing supplies we need for the guest unit. Meanwhile, we are working on painting walls in the OB/ER unit and also continuing our painting of the hospital equipment we are trying to make more serviceable.
We have moved the beds out of the OB unit to paint the room. Today we plan to continue painting both equipment and the room.

Dear Thede family,
Thank you so much for taking such great care of our parents (Ron and Sadie). It was so nice to share your blog and get a glimpse into the goings on there in Haiti, and follow the daily activities.
May God continue to bless your service and again thank you.
The Smit family
