In Zambia!

Jembo University is in SE Zambia, on the map close to the "m" in Pemba

We are very thankful that all our bags arrived with us at the airport in Lusaka.
Thankful as well to see the familiar faces of Francis and Benson waiting to pick us up, having made their acquaintance during our first trip back in March.
It takes about 5 hours to drive from Lusaka, south-west to Pemba and on to Jembo.
We spent a few hours in Lusaka while Cory did a bit of shopping, bought SIM cards for our phones and a router for internet.
In addition we stopped by the Wesleyan national headquarters for a few minutes to greet Dr. Henry Smith, who we met on our last trip. We turn off the paved road at Pemba onto dirt.
The highway between Lusaka and Livingston is
good and not crowded.
Driving on the other side of the road will take some getting used to!
We have been busy getting unpacked, cleaning and organizing the house here at Jembo.
Nights are cool, 65F in our house when we wake up and low to mid 70's during the day.
Thankful for good internet to stay in touch with friends and family.
Anna made it safely to California and will start orientation on the 8th.

Cory is happy to have 7 blooming mango trees in our back yard.
This year is extra dry. It is surprising that mango, citrus and papaya
produce well with such a long dry season. Cory hasn't seen many other
fruits around here. We are only in the
middle of dry season and just going into the hot part. Good rains should
start in November or December

There is a bag of frozen mangos in our freezer from last year.
Sweet and good but the stringy kind that can't be sliced.

Land in back of our back yard, might be a garden and orchard soon

Fritz has kids on campus to play soccer!
