So we continue to make plans and memories with folks near and dear to us.
Those of you long-term readers of the Thede Connection blog may remember 'The Big Kids' Chris and Kathleen who worked with us at Fauche for 9 months after college and before Chris attended medical school back in 2009-10.
We really enjoyed this visit but it was too short for our liking...however time marches on and we had folks needing to get to bed so the visit was relatively short.
A wonderful feeling when one can sit down with friends after four years of not seeing each other and pick up with a great, comfortable conversation.
Wednesday night they drove North and we drove South to meet in the middle for supper and a time to catch up.
We enjoyed family time and leanding a helping hand with some clean up and opening up the Thede cottage for the summer season.
Mostly it was fun: biking, walking, photography, reading, games, good food and grandparent time.
On Saturday afternoon we celebrated Lin's high school graduation and caught up with some of Cory's family on the Kaeklea side while enjoying boba in mango or passion fruit juice.
We headed back up to the cottage to clean up, pack, and prepare to leave on Sunday morning.
We didn't immediately head south back home, but traveled further north so that we could attend church with Fritz's first foster family from COTP.
We enjoyed visiting with them over lunch and the early afternoon.
Then Cory drove us back to Allegan while most of us indulged in naps.
Small group Bible study completed our week.
For those in the area we will be visiting Kentwood Community Church [KCC] on Sunday and would love to talk to those who stop by our display table in the lobby.
Father's Day we'll also be visiting a partnering church as we'll be filling in at Living Hope Church in Richland while Kris' brother Todd, Beth, and Ty are on a mission trip.
