Waiting...

Fritz enjoyed an hour long tractor ride and Cory is impressed
how no-till soybeans can be drilled into soil baked hard by sunny weather in the 80's

Another week living in 'limbo land' or as named in a book titled 'The land between.' I read recently 'waiting is worship'..which I continue to ponder while we wait.

Many of the soybean and corn fields of Zambia look like
Michigan's but sometimes the equipment is much different!

We didn't know that recently several important Emails went into the "spam" folder of Yahoo.  We figured it out this morning and now know that we have a Zoom meeting tomorrow with our GP leaders about our future plans. Thank you for the prayers!

Our storage drums in the barn have each been opened and inventoried. After 23 years we typed a new list and it now includes a map! Currently Cory & Kris with 8 drums, Eli with 4, Anna and Fritz with one each [only because Anna's clothes and majority of belongings remain in action packers in her room] and  4 empty.

Emotions continue to swing, sometimes wildly and rapidly. So blessed and grateful.

So much stuff!  The relief I feel when filling a box and then filling the car with boxes to get ride of is great. Yet sorrow stands like a shadow always in the background,  as thoughts of beloved or useful items stranded in Haiti occasionally push to the front of our minds.

As the instability in Haiti continues we start the painful process of looking to replace items like the camera, school books for Fritz's next year...painful as paying for something we already own yet can't get our hands on just feels so WRONG!

The thrill of discovery also occurs! The Kindle lost last fall bumped into Anna's foot as she sat in Grandpa's chair. A chair we looked under and searched multiple times.

My college/medical school journals appeared, tucked in a box, not on the old drum list! No longer do I need to wonder if the Lord was editing those thoughts and events from that stage of my life. And I can share with our kids!

Anna's summer sandals, note books/school books gone missing after unpacking from Africa,  and other misplaced/forgotten treasures once again come to light.

We continue to wait for direction, for the Lord's plans for us to step into the light as well.

Two of our workers that we talked to last week confirmed our impression that it would not be safe for Cory to travel to Haiti now for a short visit.

Praying for the Zoom meeting scheduled for tomorrow with our leaders, as well that our attitudes and actions can be healthy and productive.

So we enjoy family time, work on life lessons, tick off items from our to-do list....and enjoy Michigan spring.

Fritz is finishing up 5th grade, Anna shadowing local Christian lawyers, Eli working. Signed Fritz up for a week at Beechpoint Camp in June.

Thank you for your continued interest, support, and encouragement.
