Welding week. Day 1 & 2

Day 1 did NOT go as planned.

The boss arrived about 9 a.m.

Then worked out a plan, started to mark the locations the supports needed to be welded.

Heard that the dump truck of supplies would arrive about 2 p.m.

Then the rain started, and continued.....

While rain is great for filling up the water cistern and the local ponds but not really great timing when the welder is visiting for a week.

The truck came up shortly before dark.

No tarp over the bags of cement and we heard that two broke.

They decided it was to late to unload so Cory got a big tarp from our house site and covered the truck.

Having a second welder to help out did not work out.

So a disappointing and frustrating day other than the blessing of the water cistern filling up.

This morning early the dump truck was unloaded.

We watch a short while before heading to the house site to measure and mark out the locations for the supports.

Wade started welding

Some of the mason crew came up yesterday, so today they started on the foundation of the water cistern in the 'garage' area.

The gravel crew also worked this morning.
