One week since we left snowy Michigan and in some ways it seems longer, other ways shorter.
Longer as we are getting into a routine...7am breakfast of oatmeal, cornflakes, cinnamon rolls, bananas and then off to our various projects.
The fellows plans to put in a valve for the waterline changed when the glue was found to be no good and so they went on to plan B..building room dividers.
Had a early morning shower after breakfast so everything dripped for a while.
I was allowed to varnish a cabinet today.
Noon we eat (today fried chicken and breadfruit, rice and beans and oatmeal cake and then rest until 2pm..and back to our jobs.
Then supper at around 5 or 6pm (pumpkin soup and some leftovers), devotions and in bed by 9pm.
Our time seems shorter because last night the dog woke most of us up by barking, barking...only to discover that someone took a large bunch of banana from a tree near our house.
Shorter too because we realize that in a week Steve will be headed for home.
The weather remains nice..showers last night and this morning, kind of a cloudy day today.
Right now Eli and Anna are outside playing with some of their Haitian friends.
Eli playing soccer and Anna practicing volleyball.
Their lives are kept busy with lots of school subjects and various chores.
We are working on having our desks neat and organized for the next day by the end of each day. It is good to be here..we are so enjoying our family and the weather.
