Well the time draws short as the packing piles grow. This past weekend we enjoyed celebrating the Lord's birth with both of our families but the good-byes at the end not enjoyed.
We may have a chance to see some of the cousins again but just incase we gave hugs. Hope to visit the VA today to celebrate Cory's grandfather's 90'th birthday a week early.
Sorry about no pictures but I filled up my free space and need to figure out what to do now.
Celebrating that Merline received her US visa and should now be settling into her new home in New York. Please pray for her family back in Haiti as they adjust to the move as well as Merline and Caleb-together at last!
Another prayer request concerns folks adopting from Haiti. Because Haiti intends to join the Hauge Convention the social service department is not accepting any new cases nor are some of the adoption agencies in Haiti until the new year. New laws are waiting to be ratified as well.
We pray that many families who have been working to adopt for years will receive good news soon as the paperwork moves through the system. We pray that the new system will work in a more timely fashion protecting children and families from corruption while allowing faster, more efficient adoptions.
Some protests yesterday and road closings in Haiti. Our truck needs to travel down so that we can use it on Saturday. Monday I need to connect with Dr. Steve at the airport while Cory travels to the office to renew our residential visas. Praying for calm.
We hear that John Pierre wasn't feeling well. Please pray for him as well. This past week the leaders of the Kid's Club report that they did travel around our area to share the Good News of Christ with the children.
