1,000 th Post.

Today I saw on the national news that Facebook now boosts over one billion members.

1,000 blogs may not be a big number to some but for me in my little world I thought I'd better mark the occasion with this blog.

Thank you to those of you who continue to follow my family's story and ministry in Haiti.

Thank you to those who encourage me and listen to simple reports of our life or deeper reflections.

The primary purpose of starting this blog can be noted in the title, Thede Connection.  I wanted to connect in a new way. Blogging a few times a week I allow those who wish to take the time to read about us to follow our lives and know how to better pray for us.

I know that some folks find the blog by searching topic words like 'moringa' or 'breadfruit'.

While our expressed goal for our ministry in Haiti "Equipping Haitians for Building up the Body of Christ Through Medical, Agricultural & Spiritual Education" emphasizes our partnership with Haitians we remain open to helping out whom ever the Lord sends our way.

This blog and internet opens up the whole world.

This blog stands as a written record, mostly from my perspective, of the last 5 years of our lives. Years 10-14 of our missionary journey in Haiti, all 5 of our time located in Fauche reduced to verbal and photographic snapshots.

I hope that some of my spiritual journey comes through and that my words will stand as a strong witness of how the Lord continues to faithfully work in my life and family.

Thank you Lord for Your Love, Patience and Faithfulness.
