No one waiting in line at clinic and the lab/pharmacy still locked up. Hoping this means folks are healthy and not just that everyone's running late today. The cholera clinic looks nice painted white with green trim but I left the camera at home, so no picture.
Eli and Anna started their last 20 lessons of the school year today. Learning today will need to overcome a new, but thankfully temporary challenge. Now generally I like our tin roof, especially the noise of a light rain falling on it. Other noises-the startling bang of a mango, the overpowering roar of a hard rain or the scraping/ sanding of rusty tin just rattle in my head.
Today because of some clouds Cory thought it would be good to have the guys try to sand off the rust and prepare the roof for painting. The sun keeps trying to break through the clouds so not sure they will complete this task before the heat drives them off the roof.
Then the roof will be painted hopefully before the new solar panels arrive so that they can be put up soon. Why do we need more solar panels you may ask remembering that we generally have more than enough power for our family and even share with the school?
The maintenance of the campus continues to be an big issue. The main power needs that the new panels will provide will be clinic power for lab testing [changing the clinic batteries for power at night] and pumping water into the cisterns for our house and the campus.
A smile from yesterday.

Thoughts of how sanding the roof would sound gives me the chills! I hope you guys had a good school day anyway. Really enjoyed the email from Anna and Eli the other day :) Praying for your family!
I can imagine the noise sanding corrugated iron... hope the last 20 lessons go well and the new solar panels are installed and do such wonderful work.
Water is a continual thankfulness here - clear/clean/potable water at the turn of a tap is such a blessing.
Having solar panels to provide power to the school is just great! You're going to be an energy provider right there! Are the solar panels already attached? That will add an extra layer of protection for the main roof! I hope all is well now right there, as far as the roof is concerned! :)

Wow, it’s very noble of you to install solar panels not just for your home’s energy needs, but for other establishments’ as well. And yes, it’s right to paint the roof first. This way, it will not only be functional, but aesthetically pleasing too. :)

I also believe that it is better to spend more money once on a material that has long lasting benefits than on a cheap material that needs replacing every single time. A solar panel on your roof is a great way to save more money in the long run because it uses renewable and limitless energy. So glad you thought of solar panels for the school!
