Happy 4th of July.

The 4th of July here is.....the 4th day of July. Really this day does not look much different than yesterday or tomorrow other than we will often think of my Dad's family reunion enjoying good family fellowship, food and fun at the lake today including ice cream and tubing around the lake.

Anna is already up and attending volleyball practice that starts at 6 a.m. to beat the heat. At around 8 a.m. she will return to eat breakfast and start school.

Yes we will have school including French class today. We're in a good rhythm and do not want to loose it.

On campus the district conference will start today and run through Sunday. Monday night late-past bed time the guys were still pounding on the big metal campus gate which a large truck knocked over months and months ago.

The volleyball team spend Monday morning picking up trash around campus. In the past week Eli and Anna cleaned up both the House of Hope and The Dearest House for guests.

Now the day will not be totally without celebration of the USA's Independence day.

We plan to have a special supper: barbecue beef sandwiches, bake beans, chips, red and white popsicles [if we can get them to freeze on time] and blueberry pie.

Entertainment: will play Lee Greenwood's CD of patriotic songs at least once [more if Anna has her way as this is a favorite of hers] and watch some America's Funniest home videos that Aunt Joy just sent us to watch [Thank you Joy].

Cory will look and see if we have any sparklers left-last used for New Years Celebration 2010 with Chris and Kathleen!

We do have lots of flowers about campus right now and thankfully a short rain last night will green up the campus and keep down the dust.  Enjoy your day!

Yep the fourth day of the seventh month is just that here. We too had bbq bits for dinner before I hurried off to a discussion group. Hope your day was fun and I'm thankful for your rain.
