Feb 15

Last night we had more rain. In a little more than 24 hours, we have had 11 inches of rain!

The work on the gazebo progressed today...the plastic supports for the roof are in place. Larry helped the Haitian workmen, Gene is building a desk and I spent the morning varnishing.
Gerda helped the cooks. This morning it was 88 degrees and humid.

We are pleased with the progress of the work.

Yesterday, the wife of the pastor who lives next door to us was ill and Kris went to talk with her and pray. Not a big thing, but something that all of us can do.

The life of a missionary, I often think, is filled with doing ordinary things in some pretty extra ordinary places!

A new tree project, Operation Starfruit, was started this week. Starfruit seeds are planted in small bags.

When grown to a small tree, these will be donated to the Port Margot Church poor people. The hope is that they will be able to sell these trees at market for a small income.

Today, Larry, Kris and Eli planted some of the tree seeds.

Hi to all from the big kids! And Wow- totally impressed by the gazebo!! It's looks great so far! What a neat addition that will be! I'm glad you are all having a good stay so far. It's hard to believe it was over a year ago that we were there with you! Thanks again for all you guys did for the Dearest House to make it more "homey" for us. Praying for you all tonight!
