The ECHO time filled with networking, learning lots about plants and developement work. Anyone working overseas in these areas should go to an ECHO conference at some time.
Topics that we learned about in the mornings include:
- MOVING FROM RELIEF TO DEVELOPMENT
- LOW-GRAVITY DRIP IRRIGATION SCHEME IN RURAL SENEGAL
- THE STATE OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE, 2009-2010: SIGNS OF HOPE; REASONS FOR CONCERN
- SYSTEM OF RICE INTENSIFICATION
- TRANSFORMATIVE OR APPROPRIATE? REFLECTIONS ON TECHNOLOGY FOR THE POOR
- MOVING FROM RESEARCH INTO PRACTICE
- THE POTENTIAL OF BREADFRUIT FOR FOOD AND REFORESTATION
- HELPING THE HUNGRY FEED THEMSELVES
Also a moving memorial for Cheryl Beckett and a presentation in honor of Dick Dugger who came up with the idea of ECHO.
Please pray for the Haiti delegates who had planed to return to Haiti. With the airport closed they will be extending their visit to ECHO. The great folks at ECHO will take good care for them as we pray for Haiti, the people affected by the violence and the ministries in Haiti.

Sounds like you received a lot of good information at your conference!
The sun is shining and the snow is melting here, today.
But the weather man says that's about to change. Ha! Ha!
Safe travels!
