The surprise birthday party for Anna turned out wonderful [2 months early]. Presents, brownies, cousins, hours swimming and playing in a pool, rock climbing, a overnight and more... Looking forward to more memories with the family for Christmas even though it looks like Anna's dreams of a white Christmas have melted away.
Tuesday night Mom and I enjoyed sharing with some special ladies from the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church. The cookies tasted great. The heavy jean quilt I received will help keep me warm but the best part for me was adding more prayer partners to our team!
While political and travel situation in Haiti remains questionable we look forward to again hosting a small His Hands team consisting of Kris's folks and Gene and Gerda. Because of their years of experience [including emergency evacuation in 2004] we feel comfortable in planning their visit [and fewer people are easier to plan the in-country flights from Port-au-Prince]. We pray that later in the year we will be able to host additional teams.
Merry Christmas. Two week countdown for our return to Haiti.
