June 19 Happy Father's Day

Being limited on how much land on the campus can be planted, Cory branches out by sharing his plant propagation.

One deal is when you get a banana plant and it starts to produce baby offshoots [also known as a creole] that 1 is returned to share with others.

Cory continues to educate and encourage the moving of the extra banana offshoots before the mother plant completes the formation of the banana bunch and dies. [Remember only one bunch per plant]

Jean Pierre with disease resistant banana offshoots ready to plant in a new garden.

Jean Pierre's sister-in-law died this week leaving behind her husband and 10 year old boy. Apparently in OK health she died within a couple of hours of being brought to the clinic. Her deafness complicates knowing what happened.

While most of our surroundings are green this time of year the flowers of the flamboyant tree contrast brightly. A picture does not do justice to the brightness of the red flowers.

Sending Father's Day greetings to our Dads, Granddads and brothers. Have a great day.
