Most Sunday afternoons you can find John Pierre and Cory down at the church with 100+ grade schoolers enjoying a video as part of a Kid's club.
While the fortunate children hear about the Lord and learn social skills and leadership in school, many in our area do not have sponsors and therefore can not attend school. One of the goals of this club is to reach those kids.
Last week following the movie the children with birthdays in the last 2 months received small gifts. These gifts tied in nicely with part of the goals of the club-to educate and improve lives. They received toothpaste or shampoo.
We don't know why Cory received a gift as his birthday is in Oct. but it will save him having to buy shampoo for a while.
Not much for the children to do in these parts. So this club provides them with some fun and education.
Because the lack of good Christian videos/DVD's in French some weeks they just watch other films. But Cory recently located a web site with Christian DVD's in French-not Creole but closer.
Please join us in praying for Haiti's future leaders, teachers, business men and women. May they find the Lord early and grown strong in Him.
