Happy Mother's Day

Praise the Lord and very thankful for our great Moms.

While many folks talk about the 'sacrifices' that missionaries make-rarely do you hear about the 'sacrifices' that the family back home go though-like not having your kids and grandkids at family celebrations.

I put 'sacrifices' in quotes because most of the time what people think is hard for us to give up really are not-the Lord blesses us in many ways. Yes we may miss certain foods and hot showers some of the time. But this time of year a cold shower is appreciated and when we're in the USA we miss certain Haitian foods.

But missing family and friends hurts-both for us and them. That said we greatly appreciated the support of our family. We do not have the additional weight of family guilt that some folks have to carry. We know that they love us, pray for us and support us.

Thank you Lord.
