Will update you and perhaps later add details about our return trip to Haiti.
Basically we stayed two nights in Miami due to Hurricane Gustav. Then on Friday we flew into Port along with 7 of our 8 bags. We then waited over 5 hours and thankfully received bag number 8.
We went to the guesthouse and Cory rushed off to the grocery store. Bed early and then up to head North. At least the 1 hour time difference was in our favor. The trip back North was uneventful and we didn't see any damage from the storm other than some bigger washouts in the roads close to Port.
The return trip took us 7 hours and 20 minutes. We then started to unpack. We were able to get things ready so that we could start school today.
School went fairly good. We all will need to adjust back to a schedule. Clinics remain low so I will focus on school for a few weeks while Cory works on getting the garden back into shape.
All the new trees but the weakest one lived. The Artemesia needs help-looks like the poor soil damaged them.
We were unable to blog or E-mail up to today as we had to have our dish relined with the satellite. We are thankful to the technician who came out and worked in the rain to get us back on line.
Thanks to all who prayed for us. We have heard that 5 Wesleyan churches in the South were heavily damaged. The main bridge to the South was washed away.
