Reports of hard living situations continue to filter to us through E-mails.
There are at least 8 major bridges out-2 on our normal path to Port-au-Prince and 2 on an alternate route from the North. This means although there is food, water and medical supplies pouring into Haiti most of the communities haven't see much if it.
Helicopters can reach these isolated towns but they can not carry large amounts of assistance.
Haiti has asked the USA for help with bridge and road repair. Reports indicate that Haiti was much better prepared for the big storms and therefore the loss of life was in the hundreds not the thousands.
But unless people can start receiving food, water, medical supplies and fuel many more will start to perish. Reports also indicate the most of the fruit crops and rice crops have been severely damaged or destroyed. Recovery from the storms is going to be measured in months and years not weeks.
Thank you for you prayers.
