Tonight's rainbow-reminding us of God's promises. God is here. He is at work. Much more remains to be done-continue to pray for Haiti.

Often here in the North, where there are at least 6 locations with witchdoctor flags along 15 miles of highway, there is evidence of Voodoo.
I have written before about the drums, seeing items in trees, and the celebrations of the cemeteries or down by the river.
Well today on the way to drop the kids off at car pool for their last day of school, a fun pool day-Cory noticed a bag along the side of the road.
Many times, in the road or an intersection, you can see items. The belief is that the next person to touch the items will then get the illness or curse of the person on whose behalf it was placed. Items are often intentionally tempting-like food or money.
Cory says that sometimes the items remain for days.
Today just the other side of the river along Route National One, across the road from an area marked with Voodoo flags, Cory saw 2 human skulls. Photos at the end of this blog.
In the States the police would of taken care of this right away but here they may remain for a while. We don't think the police would dare to touch them. It is highly unlikely that any kind of identification could be done so there really isn't a reason for any one to mess with them. Who were they? What kind of lives did they live? Were their deaths natural? Are their families out there wondering what happened to them? Did they know the Lord?
I'm thankful that my kids didn't notice it either coming or going to the party. I'm sad for all the people here who don't get treated with the respect or dignity that they deserve in life or in death. I'm thankful that my life isn't ruled by fear. I'm thankful for the people who have shared the love of God for decades here and for the Haitian church.

Thankful for a strong support team. Thankful for a chance to stand beside our Haitian church and work with them to expand the kingdom.
Thankful for the promise of life eternal.
