The kids are having special Friday so didn't need to wear their uniforms. Eli likes to dress all in blue and Anna left in a red skirt and "Hug a tree" T-shirt.
On Wednesday we drove to school for an open house and parent/teacher conferences. Both the kids are doing well. The ride to and from school reminded me why we have decided to home school next year. Rough roads, to much time in the truck for the kids and not enough time for Cory to accomplish other things are the main reasons for us deciding to home school.
Here is a photo of a truck we saw after taking the team to the airport last month. The combination of worn verticals and bad roads can literally lead to wheels falling [or almost] falling off.
We greatly appreciate the opportunity for our kids to have experienced the classroom situation. They have learned a lot about life and not just improved their academic knowledge this year. They have also had to learn about responsibility and what happens when you forget your books, lunch etc. Not a problem when you home school.

We have talked to the principal and her assistant to see if we can continue to use the library and include our kids now in then in school activities. As no one has done this in the past will have to see if we can work something out. We will be able to continue to have our kids take SAT [standardized achievement tests] at Cowman. This testing is in the spring.
