March 10

We had a good weekend. As the kids have only a four day school week, Eli and I had a bit extra homework. Saturday, Cory visited the garden of one of the local pastors to give some advice. He hopes to start visiting more gardens this month and maybe starting classes soon.

Cory also returned to the Port Margot church on Sunday afternoon to show the children's version of the Jesus film. He reported that the church, that can sit over 500 was packed out. A Pastor repeated the invitation that is shown in the film to pray to accept the Lord.

We had 1/10 of an inch of rain last night so things are starting to green up a bit. Cory spent today working in his garden with Junior. I went down to clinic and saw 4 people.

While waiting for laboratory results I again spent time in the depot. I think I could write a short book about the observations or thoughts I have spend time on while sorting supplies. While I have had good thinking time I'm still delighted to report that the boxes only cover the back wall. And today I found two boxes that didn't need to be sorted!!

I returned to the house for lunch and watched a video in English that is a dramatization of a preacher's son who finds out he has HIV. A group has dubbed this film into Creole-and I started the Creole version after finishing the English. We hope that this will be a tool to help the young people in church understand more about HIV, as well as assist the church members in learning how to support people who have the disease.
