Today is Saturday so we slept in a bit. About 5 a.m. we heard a noisy group pass on the road-heading for Carnival celebrations most likely. Less than 10 minutes later a group meeting at the church was singing about adoring the Lord. The carpool parents decided that it wasn't worth the risk to drive the children to school though Carnival crowds so they will miss Monday and Tuesday.
Ron and Cory were able to get a few supplies purchased in Cap Haitian yesterday but ran out of time to shop. They left town before noon to avoid the increasing traffic. The kids did well at school this week and are looking forward to a week with the team [we will homeschool].
Gerda and Sadie worked with the cooks in the morning-making bread, chocolate cake, and chicken/veggie casserole. In the afternoon they started working on the curtains for the guest house. Mom and I worked a few more hours sorting medical supplies and emptying pill bottles.
Dad and Gene continued to work on the big storage unit. We filled the water tank, did laundry, wrote E-mails, and prepared for Chirstmas.
