Team Made it.

We had a good day yesterday. Cory took the kids to school and came back. We left in the big truck shortly after 9:30. We picked the kids up on the way to the airport. Eli's Bible and Language tests were delayed this week as his teacher has just returned back to work.

Once at the airport we worked on homework and Cory picked up the supplies he had ordered that had arrived on the MFI plane. Then we waited some more. Anna had fun with the young boys who were begging. She had her science and history books along so she and Cory showed pictures and explained about bears and the Great Wall of China.

Then we hear a plane-we quickly asked and entered the airport when we were told it was Lynx. They were are bit early! They spotted us as Anna as jumping up and behind the glass door. After hugs they went though immigration, then customs opened one bag. With the current problems with shipping containers and tightening the Dominican boarder they are charging more for items. Before if the missionaries had food shipped in there wasn't a charge but now they are charging for even food. The team was charged $20-and most of the bags weren't opened. The expensive items that the team carried in for us like a lap-top and tools weren't noticed.

The ride home took about 1 1/2 hours. The team wasn't impressed with our 'improved' roads. Don't know if they believed us that the roads have been worked on recently.
Today they will unpack and see what projects we have for them. The tools will need to be organized. A list of needed supplies will be made and we will see if someone can find the needed items.
They were surprised that our morning temperatures were 62 in the house and 54 in the yard. La Gonave we rarely dropped to the 80's at night during their visits.
