Jan. 7th

Well it is 6:10 am and we are packing up for school. We are going to spend a couple nights in a home near the school this week. We will not have Internet access so those of you checking frequently there will not be another blog until late Wed. or Thursday.

We had a good weekend visiting the Port Margo church and then attended a couple hour meeting about the clinic/hospital. Still can not follow everything in Creole but get a lot of the meeting. At least until the rain came down hard and nobody could hear anything. It did help to underline the fact that the roof needs work as the leaks were rapidly identified. One committee member had to move as he was getting wet.

We are all a bit tired as there is/was a Voodoo ceremony of some kind last night. It started about 7 pm and is still going on at this time. The drums just go on and on it seems. I don't think I ever went to a all night church service in the States. Wonder how many people would even come for a couple hours in the middle of the night? Heavy rains did drowned out the sounds of the drums now and then.

Well I have to pack up finally items so the kids are not late for school. Eli has a language test that he studied for and Anna a spelling test. She did review once on Saturday but then lost the list-so we will see how she does.

Keep up those prayers.
