This is a church building project. Cory was asked by Pastor Philippe and Dan our field director if he would take some photos to send back to a church in the USA which was helping with the project.
The building site had to be walked to as the road was muddy from recent rains. Most of the churches have building projects started or plans for projects.
The Northern district contains 25 churches-15 established and 10 pioneer churches. Also 17 primary schools and 4 secondary, and the one medical clinic/hospital.
The district is also starting to do renovations on a building to house visitors and teams on the Fauche mission campus. While travel isn't easy and is expensive-we look forward to strengthening relationships by hosting visitors. While pictures and stories can help you understand the work, experiencing missions first hand can be life changing.
This cement pillar is near the church. It is a marker from colonial times-over 200 years old. This area is rich in history. Different locations were once fought over by France, Spain and England as Haiti was one of the most productive colonies producing sugar.
