Literacy Class and Kids Club Christmas Celebrations

Friday the Adult Literacy Class enjoyed a special Christmas service.

The students presented songs, skits and some riddles.

Despite many students having other work and children to care for, the majority of students grades were good, showing their hard work and dedication to learning.

One student lives about an hour an a half away.

Afterward we enjoyed a meal of rice and pigeon pea (Congo beans), fried chicken, red sauce with onion, potato and carrot, and juice.

Sunday the Kids Club service included kids singing songs, Bible verse reciting competitions, and team question competitions.

The December birthday's received a bar of soap and toothpaste.

Not sure American kids would be as content with these gifts.

The kids that participated in the service were also given a gift and afterward the group went to the campus guest house to get a bag of popcorn with candy, crackers, and a cup of juice.
