I'm looking out across a glassy smooth sea at LaGonave. No breeze but it is not yet hot.
Eli and Anna are loving the pool and playing with the 20 year olds. One of the missionary families are caring for a 3 year old little boy that is great fun as well.
The best thing i think is the chance to talk to the team members. We switch around at meals and with lots of free time it is easy to visit and fellowship. It is interesting to me that in the 4 years since our last retreat that our family are the only in-country missionaries that were here back then [Pastor Dan, Joy and Brooke were at the meeting but they weren't yet living in Haiti]
In the mornings we have 3 meetings: one with our team leaders, with Pastor Ned/Marlene and with Fran Lane, head of member care at Global Partners.
Pastor and Mrs. McGrady our G. P., pastors to missionaries are here for the area retreat. Cory met yesterday with Pastor Ned and I with Marlene as part of the retreat. The times were good.

Just like homeschooling conferences give me a boost of enthusiasm and encouragement to keep on with a happy spirit, I'm sure the mission meetings do the same for you. I'm so glad they set this up. Hopefully it can be a yearly thing for you all?
