Rice hulls are free from the local hulling mill-as you can see they have a large pile of hulls. So they are happy to exchange the hulls for a few trees.
So Cory and Eli experimented yesterday with a piece of tin to cover their fire if they could get the pile to smolder just right.
The men are working to replace last years rotting fence poles with living Moringa trees. Hopefully a long term solution.
Noticed that one of the imported grape vines has new leaves. After first being planted they were focusing their energy on growing roots but this one has decided that it is time to start on leaves and blossoms.
Looks like it will be a busy week. We are planning on visitors from Port-au-Prince to overnight on Tue. Wednesday we are planning to visit the OMS seminary and say good bye to dear friends we have known since coming to Haiti. Thursday may be a cargo run to Cap Haitian. Friday a missionary from near Cap is planning on coming to see the trees. And Sunday we plan to go visit a new church.

I am counting my days and pennies until I can come to Haiti next March on a Compassion Tour.
I feel such a tugging at my heart to get there.
I plan on spending a good part of my day after church today here reading and looking at your pictures!
