Florida sight seeing and retreat

Thursday morning Cory had fun exploring an Asian supermarket. He bought some fruit partly for the seed, like Jackfruit (about 2 pounds of peeled fruit "bulbs"), longan, Thai guava (crunchy like firm apple), Japanese persimmon, and dried jujube. Durian candy was a disappointment due to the bad smell and taste which was a mix of sweet, fruity and bad. The Jujube and persimmon turned out to be seedless but we enjoyed eating all the fruit.

Then we took an air boat tour of a swamp area near Kissimmee.  Saw many birds and gators, a few fish and a soft shell snapping turtle.

Then to retreat which started with supper.

Friday, Cory rode with a few of the other missionaries to ITEC for a tour of their work.

"Steve Saint started ITEC in 1996 to develop tools and training to equip the indigenous Christ-followers to meet the physical and spiritual needs of their own people."

It was especially interesting seeing their work on transportation for remote areas, including drones and flying cars.

Tuesday the retreat will be over and we will head back to Michingan to work on our check list to return to Haiti for a new term.

Some of the team will be returning to Haiti at this time while others will follow shortly.

Thank you for your prayers.
