Progress continues

Eli, Anna, and I continued to work after saying good-bye to the team. We painted a bit on Friday, Saturday, and today....

Over the weekend we also enjoyed church with the kids at the Agape house which Anna helped lead. While there we admired the new baby goat.

On the way back to the house we detoured a bit to investigate some ruins that we hadn't noticed until the crops were harvested and the bushes harvested for fire wood.
  • Plaster crew making great progress. Down-stairs area mostly done.
  • Built wooden scaffolding for the tall outside part. Sealing off the space between walls and roof. Lower outside level done and only about 1/2 of one side left.
  • Painted: (second coats will be counted as one time), 17 insides of drawers, one side of a shelf, 8 inside of cupboards where shelves go: 6
    • Cistern floor covers (2 sides each for left and right sides
      • cistern cover-both sides
    • wood strips for finishing window frames around windows that open.
  • 2 1/2 windows calked on the outside to make weather proof
  • Digging of drain-field.
  • Skype and instant messaged with company to do inner walls
  • School
Cory shopped before coming back up the mountain on Saturday, brining back needed paint, stain, paint brushes, hardware, and a few other tools.

He also picked up some bread and a few items of food.

Tomorrow will be Eli's last full day of this trip to Haiti. We've thoroughly enjoyed his time with us!
