This morning both guest houses were prepared to receive for a short visit from a bus load of Haitian medical residents on a day trip to the Port Margot area and beach.
They used the bathrooms here and ate a breakfast of hard boiled eggs, bananas and some kind of sandwiches.
Knowing on Tuesday that they planned to stop in I worked with Mom and Holly to prepare a 1 page recruiting information for needed doctors for the LaGonave Wesleyan Hospital.
In just minutes after their arrival then 10 or so printed sheets were in circulation.
We do not know who provided the food but it was a bit late so Dr. Jean Pierre gave them a tour of the Fauche clinic while they waited.
Anna went down for some early volleyball which Dad and Steve went to watch but the bigger boys took over the court right after I snapped a couple of pictures.
After Anna ate a few pancakes she took Steve on a walk around the ridge. The three pictures at the end of this blog were taken at the same time-just changing the zoom.
Two loads of laundry, a bit of school, some house cleaning and correspondence filled my morning.
Mom gave the shoe rack a second coat of varnish.
Eli and Dad planted up some bamboo and other plants for Cory. Lunch consisted of soup.
Anna took Dad and Steven on a tour down by the river and they stopped in to see 2 of our cooks. Mom and I made some cream puffs and experimented with oven roasted veggies.
Eli enjoyed playing computer games this afternoon having completed his week of school.
Tonight we plan to watch a sermon that Mom shared with the Allegan church in January.
