Wednesday we learned that my grandmother's health had taken a serious turn for the worse.
Now we plan to leave Haiti on this coming Tuesday and if we do not experience any delays will arrive at the funeral home one hour prior to the start of visitation.
Please pray that our travel goes as planned without any delays.
Thankfully Grandma's strong faith assures us that she met her Lord and we will be reunited one day.
Today talking with a Haitian friend who also lost a family member this week we noted the comfort we find in knowing that the Lord is in charge and will welcome those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
Mme. Phanil requested prayer for her youngest adult child who has turned away from the Lord.
I 'm so thankful that my children have memories of 6 great-grandparents.
How many children their ages have memories of four generations enjoying each other?
How many missionaries enjoy the support of their parents let along all their grandparents and many extended family members?
Thankful that the Lord allowed us to be returning to the USA close to Grandma's home going.
Thankful that our schedule in Haiti allowed for an early departure.
Thankful for all the prayer support and offers of help from many friends.
Thankful for the lessons learned from grandparents and the examples they set.
Thankful for our Christian heritage.
Thankful that my grandparents all visited Haiti [both LaGonave and Fauche] when I was a child and understood our lives here and supported us during the last 14 years.
[Yes, I'm in the second picture standing right behind Grandma.]
