Yesterday we enjoyed service outside-close enough to hear everything and participate but a bit cooler.
The women from the churches of the Northern district plus some of those on the National committee sing beautifully.
The presidents of the various church groups danced their way down the center of the church to donate their offerings while singing about and with joy!
Exciting to hear about the growth and ministries of their locations.
Our family was remembered and included in the thank you and gifts.
A Creole New Testament, a small wooden "Haiti" desk sign and a beautiful blue tie for Cory [wonder if they figure that as they've never seen him wear one he didn't have any??]
After church the group presidents were asked to come to the parking area and receive two breadfruit trees and two star fruit trees for their group.
Cory and John Pierre had prepared the trees earlier. Good system right?
Well a few of the presidents came a bit late and all the trees were gone.
So a few extras must of slipped in and received trees. The late comers received one tree.
The plants give to the group will hopefully grow and multiple until each community has all they need.
Plan 'A' for star fruit, small plastic bags to hold star fruit seeds, and some Christian Creole/English books that just arrived Saturday was to hand them out at lunch.
Well then we learned that the meals were given to each group and they eat in separate locations. Plan 'B' was for the 4 o'clock meeting which ended up being a few hours late.
So what finally happened was the star fruits [about 200] did get handed out in the church after 8 p.m.
Unfortunately some of the women had left already. Then divided the books into bags and given to the leaders.
The remaining 5 gallon bucket of star fruits Cory will bring with him to Port-au-Prince tomorrow.
Today we will continue with school, send out an update, and prepare for Cory's trip.

I wish I could have been at this women's conference! What creative ministry: giving trees. May they all bear fruit a hundred fold.
I hope all the trees prosper and grow - bearing fruit and multiplying.
Ties are important to people - had a Q come back from Africa saying they'll wear one now.
