Last week before heading south to LaGonave Cory picked his first home grown Jakefruit. He worried that something would happen to it in his absence.
Admittedly he's been squeezing it on a regular basis as he does not yet know how long this type takes to ripen and didn't want to miss it.
First taste revieled that it had been picked a bit early but it still is the best Jakefruit flavor that Cory has ever had even though the flesh is soft and chewy not crunchy as reported when he bought the plant.
