May 2st.

Frustrated that for the 3rd day I cannot download any pictures for you. Sorry.

Today, despite being May in Haiti remains cool, cloudy with occasional sprinkles. Knowing that many other locations in Haiti desperately need rain like LaGonave makes it harder to enjoy.

Because of the rain I did not go down to clinic. Pastor Rigo came to the house to use the Internet and confirmed the low clinic patients for today. He reported that his wife is feeling better only having a bit of vomiting.......... due to morning sickness! She's near the end of the first trimester so this may be better soon. Her monthly OB appointment is soon. Please join us in praying for this family.

Work continues on our school year, the English version of the health book, preparing for Todd's team and the trip to the USA. One month from today we'll be welcoming Chris and Kathleen Sloan's return for a month long visit! 13 days after that will welcome Todd's family and team. Good byes will happen one after another as all depart [including us] right after another..1 2 3.

Cory's been working on office work and ordered some needed supplies from the USA. The most exciting box that will be coming on the next cargo load will contain more school books. Anna and Eli's history for this year both focus on American history and Sonlight changed some of the books this year for Eli's core. A problem? Not for us. I looked at the new books and decided just to add them to what we already had. So will be enjoying a few more history and literature books. We otherwise use Kindle free books to supplement our reading time [mostly during chores-I read they work]

Yesterday Haiti celebrated Agriculture and Work Day. Cory shared some plants with the Child Survivor Program. In church we heard how work provides satisfaction, responsibility and respect. How one or one's country should not be dependent on others but how much better it is to be able to help others.
