12 April. This and That.

Sorry compulsive checkers that I neglected to blog the past few days...but really cannot think of much interesting to write about.

Cory left for Cap Haitian this morning to deliver some plants, shop and pick up cargo for the first time since January. Hundreds of our spring newsletters will be flown to the USA today and mailed.

Anna expects to receive a birthday package and we know of at least one Valentines package that should arrive today. Motivation along with retreat travel on Thursday to finish up the week's worth of school. Additional motivation at this time comes in the form of my reading aloud the classic....A Journey to the Center of the Earth.

My ankle continues to improve but I'm being careful as I know I'll be doing more walking at missionary retreat. All the missionaries will be meeting together from Thursday afternoon through Monday morning. Being in the USA we missed the retreat in Dec.

Interesting that of the folks we attended retreat with in Nov. 09-3 couples [2 career and 1 short term] and 4 single folks have completed their service with Global Partners. New teammates who have joined since then include 3 couples and 8 new kids.

None of us look forward to the long bumpy ride but we do look forward to the weekend. We plan to return to LaGonave with the team on Monday and see as many old friends as possible before the long drive home on Tuesday.

Official national election results should be announced on the 16th. Please pray that this time is safe in Haiti.
