11 March Update and Prayer Requests

A calm sunny day with birds singing and school children chattering on campus. Cory's guys planted pineapples yesterday and will dig up baby banana plants today-to move them to better growing locations from their current crowded locations near the mother plants.

Eli, Anna and I continue to work on our school year, starting week 10 today. The real life lesson this week: 'How to set daily goals to get caught up in school' or 'Why keeping up in all subjects is a good idea'. They both worked hard and made good progress.

In between helping my students I've started to work on our Home Ministry time. Organizing, prioritizing, writing letters, signing the kids up for day camp while we'll be at Global Partners for training. Thankfully the Internet connection improved the last couple of days. Cory's homework includes taxes.

A couple of prayer requests sent today from Pastor Dan, field director.

Dear Friends,

We are asking for prayer today for two very crucial issues.

· Caleb Thompson is heading to St. Marc and will be hunting for a lost container filled with building supplies. Please pray that God’s favor will be on this, that the container be found, that the supplies are in it and that we will not be charged exorbitant fees. These supplies are needed for the rebuild team scheduled to arrive next month. Caleb was in country post earthquake and processed containers for food relief and so is familiar with the process.

· Pastor Erold Pierre is working on the release from customs of two Land Cruisers for the LaGonave medical work. It seems that we may be on the last step which is to pay the actual customs fee. Please pray that Pastor Erold will be successful today. We have a huge medical team arriving on March 20 which will be holding outreach clinics and desperately need both vehicles.

Thank you for praying!
