May 13 Cargo, school, fruits

Cory left early this morning to go to Cap Haitian. He brought some trees as he planned to visit at least one agricultural site. Four new types of banana plants should be picked up at the airport today along with our mail and other cargo.

He turned our testing materials over to the mail bag to return to the USA. All are glad to have the tests done for the year. Yesterday on a trip to Limbe Cory purchased both gasoline and diesel fuel -a bit extra because hurricane season starts the first of June.

We took a walk after school yesterday and hiked up to our nearest phone tower. At the top of the ridge we enjoy a good view of our valley as well as the Limbe valley. We spent some time praying for Haiti-as we passed the 4 month post-earthquake mark.

Living in the tropics with a fruit lover means you profit from the fruit trees in the yard.

Great bananas this week and a couple miracle fruit to sweeten up the mangos from market and gift of papaya. [Not sweet enough for Eli and I-we leave the papaya for Anna and Cory]

Sweet cherry tomatoes and Barbados cherries also enjoyed this week from the garden/yard. The pineapple remains small yet.
