Nov. 20

The rain did let up so that some work was done. Work in the bathroom.

Attempt to repair the roof. Painting of the kitchen. Sewing.
Sign painting. School. Putting up the screens. Shopping for parts. Correspondence. Cake baking. Notice the boards Dad had to use to block up the space between the roof and the wall.

Now a bit more on the screens. Only 3 of these had been marked as of where they were to go. We had 14 screens-each a different size. Didn't help that we put one of the labeled ones in a wrong window early on..... And then we would forget which windows we had already tried the screen in... This process was complicated by the fact that some of the screens were such a tight fit that we needed to hammer them in and others had an inch or more gap.At one point I think we had 5 of us working on this project. But in the end all the windows had a screen again.

Last night everyone was under light blankets for at least part of the night. We were at 70 degrees this morning with a light drizzle. Yesterday we had almost 8 inches of rain. Almost another 2 since Cory emptied the rain gauge yesterday afternoon.

No school on the compound because of the rain so the children were hanging around interested in what the team was doing. Anna worked with them in the afternoon to learn the names of the team.
