Could a good tree or plant grow from a seed or is a cutting better? Could the seedling tree be good root stock that could be grafted in a few years to produce quality fruit?
We don't see tangerines for sale in the north often. The last ones we had were seedless. Good for the person eating the fruit but not good for the horticulturalist who is looking to plant the seeds.
This trip we enjoyed the sweetness of tangerines and they had seeds. Notice the seed collection plate.
The bigger seeds are egg fruit.
Cory was also able to collect cuttings and baby plants from Haiti Baptist Mission. The plants from the Dominican Republic are doing well.
New baby Moringa trees for the schools. Germination was 90%. Cory found this bag of moringa seeds and doesn't know how long ago they were collected.
