School

We have enjoyed for the most part the first week of school.

START Academy-Striving To Achieve Remarkable Things.

Generally we have started close to 7 am and are done about 2-3 pm depending on the day. We have completed all the work for the first week and have started the second.

The kid's desks [made by Dad and Gene while we were still on LaGonave] are now in the office area. But we do the reading in the living room or on our bed. We are so into one of Eli's books that I am to read aloud to him that we are now a week ahead.

Kids and mom have started learning French using the Rosetta stone materials but our headset isn't working. So will have to work on our pronunciation in real life.

Both Eli and Anna are studying world history this year so we are learning a lot about ancient Egypt. Eli turned 11 on Wednesday and one of his gifts was a set to make a pyramid bank, wrap a mummy and decorate a sarcophagus. He is having fun.

Cory is teaching spelling and using his 'extra time' [time that would of been used on the road back and forth to school] working on the yard and garden.
