We are at Global Partners headquarters down in Indiana. This is our first time to attend Home Ministries training. There are 6 other couples and a single gal who are also in training.
It is interesting to reconnect with people and meet new friends from other fields or who work in the home office as support staff. We have devotional times each morning, times to get to know each other better and hear about how the Lord is working here and around the world.
Most people have just returned to the USA and will be living here a year for home ministries. We spend this week learning about how things work, finances, speaking and written communications etc.
Last night there were major thunderstorms and the house we are privileged to be staying at was struck by lighting. They had damage to some of the equipment and systems in the house. Despite their alarm system blaring into the night-neither of our kids were bothered as they remained asleep.

A daily visitor to the blog commented last week that I've been posting pictures of the kids sleeping a lot lately. This summer is one busy day after the next and by the end they are tired as we are as well.
Time with family and friends is very important to us-so we need to squeeze in as much as possible into our time in the States.
